摘要: Background Prompt laboratory diagnosis of Herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection facilitates patient management and possible initiation antiviral therapy. In our laboratory, which receives various specimen types for detection HSV, we use enzyme immunoassay (EIA) rapid culture this virus. The HSV has traditionally been accepted as the diagnostic 'gold standard'. study, compared real time PCR (LightCycler) amplification, subtyping specific DNA with in-house developed tests HSV.
