摘要: In brief: Observations were made on US marathon record holder Alberto Salazar during a climatic chamber trial, heat acclimatization training, and the 1984 Olympic Marathon. The purpose was to evaluate his physiological responses tolerance testing advise him regarding acclimatization, thermoregulation, fluid discipline. advised avoid showers along race course marathon. Although fine-mist sprays, showers, other skin-wetting techniques may make runners feel good, they have little effect rectal temperature or sweat rate race. This applies casual joggers as well elite competitors.
