Influences on the density of beta-adrenergic receptors in the cornea and iris--ciliary body of the rabbit.

摘要: By measurement of the specific binding 3H-dihydroalprenolol, densities beta-adrenergic receptors on membranes prepared from homogenized corneas and iris--ciliary bodies rabbits were studied. Sympathetic denervation, as a result subconjunctival treatment with 6-hydroxydopamine, causes an increase in density ipsilateral body but not cornea. Topical epinephrine for 5 days decrease cornea iris-ciliary body, whereas similar timolol receptors. In cornea, receptor that occurs following vivo is associated decreased ability to synthesize cyclic AMP, altered AMP. Our results indicate anterior segment eye inversely related level adrenergic stimulation tissue AMP does necessarily parallel change density.
