β Subunit heterogeneity of L-type Ca2+ channels in smooth muscle tissues

摘要: Various beta subunit isoforms stabilize different gating properties of voltage-gated L-type Ca(2+) channels. We therefore investigated the expression channel in smooth muscle types on protein level by immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation employing subunit-selective sequence-directed antibodies. From four known only beta2 beta3 were detected porcine uterus, bovine trachea aorta membranes. Multiple immunoreactive bands a tissue-selective manner indicating structural heterogeneity beta2. Immunoprecipitation (+)-[(3)H]isradipine-prelabeled channels revealed that participate formation uterus trachea, aortic muscle. conclude subunits form tissues. This may be important to fine-tune function.
