摘要: Chromosomes were studied in cells from tissues primarily involved by diffuse “histiocytic” lymphoma nine patients. Two of the patients had stage II disease; their tumors fibrotic and no mitotic cells. One patient was III, remaining six IV disease. The modal chromosome number abnormal these last seven hypodiploid two, hyperdiploid four, near-triploid one. Complete banding studies cases partial analysis seventh indicate that (1) every a distinct cell line with common markers, few showing minor variants; (2) although certain chromosomes (Nos. 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, 14) structurally affected more often than others, markers same pattern noted among them; (3) cytologic type could be correlated karyotype all When Lukes Collins classification used, three whose composed predominantly large noncleaved showed 14q translocation leading to formation 14q+ marker chromosome. This not observed four majority cleaved These preliminary results, if confirmed larger series patients, will provide additional evidence there are consistent changes associated specific subtypes lymphoproliferative disorders analogous Ph1 chronic myelogenous leukemia.
