摘要: DNA microarrays have been widely applied to cancer transcriptome analysis. The Oncomine database contains a large collection of such data, as well hundreds derived gene-expression signatures. We studied the regulatory mechanisms responsible for gene deregulation in these signatures by searching coordinate regulation genes with common transcription factor binding sites. found that sites archetypal factor, E2F, were disproportionately overexpressed wide variety cancers, whereas other factors, Myc-Max, c-Rel and ATF, specific types. These results suggest alterations pathways activating factors may be observed pathogenesis.
