摘要: Abstract Background Recent studies indicate that the coexistence of hypertension and glucose intolerance leads to impairment in saline volume-induced diuresis natriuresis. Furthermore, taurine enalapril affect renal function blood pressure (BP). Therefore, we tested hypothesis therapy combining would confer greater antihypertensive activity responsiveness volume loading hypertensive glucose-intolerant (HGI) rat than either agent alone. Methods Hypertensive (H) HGI rats were treated from 6 weeks months with tap water containing no addition, (0.25%), (15 mg/kg/day), or taurine–enalapril combination. Hemodynamic responses an intravenous isotonic load then determined conscious animal. Results The vehicle-treated displayed reduced natriuresis relative their H counterparts. Although none three drug regimens affected BP, they similarly effective increasing excretory eliminating differences existed between untreated groups. tubular reabsorption contributed taurine- enalapril-mediated augmentation function, also enhanced glomerular function. filtration rate was greatest combination enalapril. all significantly protein excretion both rats. Conclusions Despite exerting influence on renoprotective, as indicated by drug-mediated improvement kidney rat.
