摘要: Abstract The growth of diamond/carbon-nanotube (CNT) composites by Hot Filament Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (HFCVD) was investigated. achieved pre-dispersing commercially available multiwalled CNTs onto a Si(100) surface and subsequently growing diamond nanoparticles over this layer. diamond/CNT were characterized with SEM, TEM, Raman Spectroscopy. It found that in flow 1% CH4 H2 (a typical condition for microcrystalline using HFCVD) most the are destroyed harsh conditions. Reduction etching reducing partial pressure precursor flow. There exists an optimal between 2–5% wherein not resulting film retains high percentage its sp3 structure. TEM analyses showed nanometer sized particles nucleate on grow radially outward. retention CNT structure direct CNTs, two factors necessary good load transfer matrix reinforcement, suggest possibility material as structural composite. Based characterization composite, mechanism proposed.
