摘要: Abstract The technique is described of detecting with a real time frequency analyzer the number wolves howling in chorus. Sixty-six spectra choral “basic howls” have been analysed: 60 proved reliability this showing fundamental and harmonically related overtones each animal's howl. method can be useful censusing wolves. However, further tests are planned to check method's using recordings made under field conditions.
