摘要: The objective of this study was to carry out taste masking ofloxacin (Ofl) by ion exchange resins (IERs) followed sustained release Ofl forming interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) beads. Drug-resin complexes (DRCs) with three different ratios IERs (1:1, 1:2, 1:4) were prepared batch method and investigated for in vivo vitro masking. DRC methacrylic acid-divinyl benzene (MD) resin at a ratio 1:4 used form IPN beads MD following the ionic cross-linking using sodium carboxymethyl xanthan gum (SCMXG) SCMXG-sodium cellulose (SCMXG-SCMC). characterized FT-IR further studied on pH. In carried human volunteers showed that significantly reduced bitterness Ofl. Characterization studies such as FT-IR, DSC, P-XRD complex formation took place between drug resin. gastric pH complete from within 30 min whereas 5 h 10 h salivary drug. As crosslinking increased kinetics changed into non-Fickian diffusion zero-order mechanism. better performance IPNs it found useful both pH, indicating versatile delivery system.
