摘要: Abstract Competition and cooperation are well-recognized biological phenomena, even among parasites. Co-infection of parasites in a single host leads to several outcomes, one being competition for limited resource. Here, the behaviour mixed infection was evaluated using two isolates Trypanosoma cruzi , previously typed as belonging genotypes TcI TcII. The growth vitro different compartments gut Triatoma brasiliensis studied. In showed that MDID/BR/1999/M1 (TcI) has doubling time 19.5 h MIDID/BR/1999/JCPD4 (TcII) 9.6 h, while group presented 13.9 h. vivo three groups were done: M1/TcI, JCPD4/TcII (50% each strain), respectively. All comparisons done Kruskal–Wallis non-parametric test. data culture populations similar pattern apparently suggesting positively selection M1/TcI strain, axenic culture. insects, isolate infections colonized predominantly rectal wall lumen, contrast isolate, which found mainly colonizing small intestine. According investigated, it could be concluded not determinant factor final composition co-infection. Moreover, resulted homogenous distribution parasites, comparing studied separately. Apparently, bugs, simultaneous presence an improvement number from M1/TcI.
