摘要: Tumor metastasis comprises a series of coordinated events that culminate in dissemination cancer cells to distant sites within the body representing greatest challenge impeding effective therapy and leading cause cancer-associated morbidity. Cancer exploit multiple genes pathways colonize organs. These are integrated regulated at different levels by cellular- extracellular-associated factors. Defining govern can provide new targets for therapeutic intervention. Melanoma differentiation associated gene-9 (mda-9) (also known as Syntenin-1 SDCBP (Syndecan binding protein)) was identified subtraction hybridization novel gene displaying differential temporal expression during melanoma. MDA-9/Syntenin is an established Syndecan protein functions adaptor protein. Expression elevated RNA level wide-range cancers including melanoma, glioblastoma, neuroblastoma, prostate, breast liver cancer. increased significantly metastatic compared with non-metastatic or normal cells, which make it attractive target treating metastasis. In this review, we focus on role regulation mda-9 progression
