摘要: Increasing evidence supports an essential role for interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the development, differentiation, as well de- and re-generation of neurons central nervous system (CNS). Both IL-6 its specific receptor (IL-6R) are expressed on glial cells including astrocytes. In this study, we have analyzed responses primary rat astrocytes various brain regions to with respect morphological changes neurotrophin expression. Since alone failed initiate effects astrocytes, examined whether soluble IL-6R (sIL-6R) can modulate responsiveness these cells. For purpose, used a highly active fusion protein sIL-6R, which is designated Hyper-IL-6 (H-IL-6). We show that treatment cultured promotes region-specific GFAP-positive from typical stellate- fibrous-like addition, find induces expression neurotrophins (NTs) nerve growth factor (NGF)-family dose-dependent manner. Interestingly, differing patterns cytokine-induced NT expression: NGF maximally induced cortex hippocampus, NT-3 NT-4/5 cerebellum. summary, our results indicate conjunction sIL-6R regulates region dependent Thus, provides local supply participate diverse CNS functions such protection insults, neuronal survival, neuro-immune responses.
