摘要: Telomerase expression is silenced in most adult somatic tissues with the exception of stem cell (SC) compartments, which have property having longest telomeres within a given tissue. Adult SC compartments suffer from telomere shortening associated organismal aging until reach critically short length, sufficient to impair mobilization and tissue regeneration. p53 essential prevent that carrying damage contribute regeneration, indicating novel role for behavior therefore maintenance fitness tumor protection. Reprogramming differentiated cells more pluripotent state has been achieved by various means, including nuclear transfer and, recently, over specific transcription factors generate so-called induced (iPS) cells. Recent work demonstrated telomeric chromatin remodeled are elongated telomerase during reprogramming. These findings suggest structure dynamic controlled epigenetic programs differentiation potential cells, reversed This chapter will focus on current knowledge SC, as well reprograming embryonic-like
