摘要: What are the effects of transitioning traditionally managed fisheries to incentive-based catch shares fisheries? In a study all major United States federal share and associated shared stock in British Columbia, result environmental improvements, economic mixture changes social performance, relative race for fish under traditional management. Environmentally, compliance with total allowable increases discards decrease. Economically, vessel yields rise, revenues grow, long-term encouraged. Socially, safety increases, some port areas modestly consolidate, needed processing capacity often reduces, labor markets shift from part time jobs full similar employment. Newer address many concerns through careful design.
