Evaluating Raw and Treated Water Quality of Tigris River within Baghdad by Index Analysis

摘要: A water quality index (WQI) is a single value indicator of the determined through sum-marizing multiple parameters test results into simple terms for management and decission makers. In this paper, thirteen were considered. On basis these data, raw treated drinking from Tigris River within Baghdad analyzed. Cluster analysis conducted on WQI data in area was applied to detect fluctuation quality. study, showed that never reached “Excellent” levels nor fallen “Unsuitable” condition, except occasional untreated samples. Effects various sources pollution evident needs intensive studies became evident.
