摘要: Honey is a natural substance appreciated for its therapeutic abilities since ancient times. Its content in flavonoids and phenolic acids plays key role on human health, thanks to the high antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties that they exert. possesses antimicrobial capacity anticancer activity against different types of tumors, acting molecular pathways are involved cellular proliferation. In addition, an antidiabetic has also been highlighted, with reduction glucose, fructosamine, glycosylated hemoglobin serum concentration. exerts protective effect cardiovascular system, where it mainly prevents oxidation low-density lipoproteins, nervous respiratory system asthma bacterial infections, gastrointestinal system. A beneficial honey can be demonstrated athletes. The purpose this review summarize update current information regarding health diseases.
