摘要: This is an 18-year follow-up of 164 former prisoners war (POWs) and 190 controls. The study examined long-term morbidity, psychophysiological complaints, illness-related behaviors. Psychophysiological complaints were found to be significantly higher among the POWs than A significant association was also between such symptoms posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). individual's degree impairment associated with both objective subjective characteristics captivity. authors outline differences in types illness observed current studies conducted other countries, consider implication captivity culture.
