摘要: Tick ecologists throughout Europe provided descriptions of Lyme borreliosis habitats according to a standardised format and data for 105 in 16 countries were received. The showed that high risk situations, as defined by the presence large numbers B. burgdorferi sensu lato-infected nymphal I. ricinus, occur heterogeneous deciduous woodland, usually with recreational function diverse fauna, including deer. Large ticks occurred some other habitats, but infection prevalence was low. situation adult ricinus similar less clearly defined. rates found be lower western than east, rate 1. persulcatus, most easterly vector species, markedly higher ricinus. In vast majority greater nymphs. Larvae rarely infected.
