摘要: The aim of the present study was to determine seasonal abundance ticks, Ixodes ricinus and their infection frequency with spirochetes, Borrelia burgdorferi in wooded areas vicinity city Szczecin during 2000-2001. ticks were collected from April October. Presence sensu lato detected method indirect immunofluorescence (IFA). results showed differences activity within years study. In year 2000 a single peak increased noted, while 2001 no significant changes population recorded. s. l. 11.6 % 9.6 specimens captured, respectively, which constituted statistically difference. highest level observed (13.2 %), - July (12.7 %). prevalence value between respective months both not significant. indicate high risk factor acquiring Lyme borreliosis by humans animals vicinity.
