摘要: Abstract 5-Aminoimidazole riboside and inosine are accumulated by biotin-deficient yeast. The addition of aspartic acid prevents accumulation these intermediates in the incubation medium. Purine-requiring yeast, neurospora, vibrio strains accumulate 5-aminoimidazole but not inosine. Aspartic fails to prevent accumulation, an indication a genetic block ability organisms metabolize this compound further. relationship biotin purine biosynthesis yeast is discussed light data presented.
