摘要: Background : Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) may cause infections during wound dressing. We aimed to compare the antibacterial activities and wound-healing effects of commercially available silver-coated or silver-impregnated dressings on MRSA-infected wounds. Methods Full-thickness skin defects were made back rats (N=108) infected with MRSA. The divided into following 6 groups according dressing used for wounds: nanocrystalline silver (Acticoat ), carboxymethylcellulose (Aquacel -Ag), sulfadiazine (Medifoam (PolyMem (Ilvadon 10% povidone iodide (Betadine ). analyzed sizes, histological findings, bacterial colony counts groups. also inoculated materials Mueller-Hinton agar plates containing MRSA compared inhibition zones in plates. Results order rate wound-size decrease was Acticoat >Aquacel -Ag>PolyMem >Medifoam >Ilvadon >Betadine . findings revealed that Acticoat
