A case-control study of diet and invasive cervical cancer

摘要: A population-based case-control study was conducted to assess the relation of diet, especially intake vitamins A, C and E folic acid, risk invasive cervical cancer. Cases were 189 women diagnosed with carcinoma between 1979 1983 in 3 counties Seattle area. Controls (N = 227) selected through random digit dialling. Diet during year preceding diagnosis assessed by interview, using a food frequency questionnaire covering 66 items. After adjustment for known factors, frequent consumption dark green or yellow vegetables fruit juices related reduced Similarly, high dietary carotene associated lower disease, squamous-cell type. There an inverse relationship vitamin carcinoma. The adjusted relative (RR) 0.5 (95% confidence interval: 0.2-1.0) highest quartile compared RR 1.0 first quartile.
