摘要: : The purpose of the study was to review treatment outcomes 198 patients treated with breast-conserving surgery (BCS) and whole breast radiation therapy using lung density correction for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). Between April 1985 December 2002, 200 lesions diagnosed as DCIS (AJCC stage 0) were at University Michigan. All underwent BCS radiotherapy. Median total follow-up 6.2 years (range: 0.8–18.2). 5- 10-year cumulative rates in-breast only failure 5.9% (95% CI: 2.6–9.3%) 9.8% 5.2–14.4%), respectively. Factors that significantly predicted an increased risk local family history cancer, positive or close surgical margins age ≤ 50 years diagnosis. Cosmetic outcome scored “excellent” “good” 94% assessed patients. On multivariate analysis, patient separation cosmetic (p = 0.04). radiotherapy resulted high control 5 10 years excellent results. To best our knowledge, this is first report a series results compare favorably other which plans calculated unit density.
