摘要: Telomere length, a highly heritable trait, is longer in offspring of older fathers. This perplexing feature has been attributed to the telomeres sperm men and it might be an ‘epigenetic’ mechanism through which paternal age plays role telomere length regulation humans. Based on two independent (discovery replication) twin studies, comprising 889 pairs, we show increase resemblance leukocyte between dizygotic twins fathers, not seen monozygotic twins. phenomenon result from age-dependent germ stem cell selection process, whereby selected cells have telomeres, are more homogenous with respect share resistance aging.
