摘要: Abstract Although silicone oil is being used with increasing frequency for proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR), few studies have reported on its use severe forms of diabetic retinopathy (PDR). Vitreous microsurgery tamponade was performed 34 patients (37 eyes) refractory neovascular glaucoma and/or recurrent retinal detachment (RD) from PDR that failed to respond conventional techniques including vitrectomy, membrane peeling, gas tamponade, and photocoagulation. With all followed a minimum 6 months (mean, 13 months), anatomic attachment maintained in 26 (70%) the eyes. At last follow-up examination, final visual acuity at least 5/200 found 9 (24%) 37 eyes (35%) anatomically successful cases. Regression iris neovascularization occurred 8 (36%) 22 rubeosis removed 3 (8%) Significant complications included band keratopathy nine eyes, corneal decompensation three seven (19%)
