摘要: Human–wildlife conflict is a pressing issue, and the majority of mitigation measures focus upon reducing wildlife damage. However, situations are often about issues that go far beyond damage, such as conflicts between different groups stakeholders; myths, perceptions knowledge certain species; economic political factors; religious cultural beliefs. Furthermore, may have ‘contagious’ element, where views towards one species affect others well, while events man-eating particularly devastating impact. Here, we discuss how those complex factors can shape peoples’ attitudes wildlife, highlight need for conservationists to consider broad, interdisciplinary approach effective with ultimate aim coexistence.
