摘要: Melanin pigments constituted 13.9% (W/W) of sclerotial walls ofSclerotium rolfsii. The lipid and ash contents in were twice those hyphal the fungus. Progress culture age maturation sclerotia always accompanied by increased levels peroxidation products melanin. Lipid melanin formation may thus proceed parallel during biogenesis maturation. Both these processes are strongly affected Fe2+ antioxidant vitamins (ascorbic acid), microelements (selenium) mercapto compounds (glutathione). Myceliogenic germination lytic activityvia production can be (anti)oxidants that could potentially used for controlling sclerotia-producing fungi without using traditional toxic fungicides.
