摘要: • Since 1974, 82 primary femoropopliteal bypasses were performed using superficial femoral, popliteal, and deep femoral veins exclusively. Saphenous nonavailability dictated usage in 20 cases, 62 grafts placed as part of a randomized comparative study with saphenous veins. Cumulative life table patency rates at 1, 2, 3,4, 5 years 89%, 87%, 70%, 60%, 60%. Surgical indications critical ischemia (n = 77) claudication 5). Late stasis changes ulceration did not occur six-month ankle swellings only 0.58 cm greater than patients vein grafts. Routine periodic postoperative angiography (256 studies 74 patients) allowed informed evaluation most late graft failures. Occlusions the first two years, which mainly associated advanced distal disease, predominantly related. Most later occlusions intrinsic; they caused by anastomotic hyperplasia or, those largest grafts, embolization mural thrombi. Revised technique rejection may ameliorate these problems.
