摘要: Pavetta indica L. is used in traditional medicine for the treatment of various diseases including hemorrhoids, headache, urinary conditions, ulcerated nose, and dropsy. However, no study has evaluated anticancer effect P. In this study, we found that a methanol extract leaves branches (MEPI) caused cell-cycle arrest at sub-G1 phase induced apoptosis, as indicated by activation caspase-8, -3, -7, c-PARP. Western blotting revealed MEPI significantly reduced levels markers epithelial-mesenchymal transition, such Vimentin, Snail, Slug, matrix metallopeptidase 9. Notably, expression multidrug resistance-associated protein 1 triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) was decreased MEPI. Moreover, co-treatment with doxorubicin resulted synergistic reduction cell viability. also radiation sensitization TNBC cells. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis 5,6-dehydrokawain (DK) major constituent Interestingly, DK exerted significant anti-invasive anti-metastatic effects. Our results provide strong rationale investigating molecular mechanisms action TNBC.
