摘要: Wolf Canis lupus diet was studied by scat analysis in four main and several other locations recolonised this species Central Western Poland between 2002 2009. Wild ungulates made up 94.8% of the total biomass food consumed, with most common being roe deer Capreolus capreolus (42.8%), wild boar Sus scrofa (22.6%) red Cervus elaphus (22.2%). Supplementary prey were: fallow Dama dama (2.7%), brown hare Lepus europeus (2.5%) Eurasian beaver Castor fiber (1.4%). Domestic animals, exclusively dogs cats, 1.0% biomass. A high similarity ratio ungulate wolf study sites observed. Wolves hunted accordingly to their relative abundance community. As are abundant livestock density is low large forest tracts seems be very good habitat for wolves. Therefore, more dispersing wolves from Eastern Germany, recovery could significantly accelerate next few years region.
