摘要: Abstract Objective The US Public Health Service Panel on Cost-Effectiveness has recommended the use of quality-adjusted life-years (QALYs) as best way to estimate outcomes in a cost-effectiveness analysis. We evaluate importance this recommendation by assessing whether adjusting for health-related quality life affects ultimate resource allocation decision implied ratio interventions aimed at cancer prevention and control. Methods identified 110 39 articles which both cost/life-year cost/QALY were reported. Interventions forms prevention, early detection, or treatment cancer. calculated Spearman correlation assess ordinal relationship between cost/QALY. In addition, we employed various thresholds would yield different decisions than Results is 0.96 ( P Conclusions For cancer, outcome measures are highly correlated with one another. Although can make an important difference evaluation alternative approaches control, it often does not.
