摘要: The monoterpene perillyl alcohol has been shown to induce the regression of 81% small mammary carcinomas and up 75% advanced initiated by 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA) in Wistar-Furth rat. Dietary was greater than 5 times more potent limonene at inducing tumor regression. Perilly is rapidly metabolized rat, as limonene. Rats chronically fed had same circulating plasma metabolites rats limonene; however, levels these found were higher for alcohol-fed rats. For example, given a 2% diet 10 weeks terpene 0.82 mM whereas those 10% period blood 0.27 mM. It thus appears that increased potency over causing may be dee least part differences pharmacokinetics two monoterpenes. We feel good candidate clinical testing anticancer efficacy humans.
