摘要: The catecholamine-stimulated cotransport of sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane turkey erythrocyte was previously found to be associated with increased 32P incorporation into a high molecular weight protein. To determine subcellular localization this phosphorylated protein, which we have termed goblin, new method has been developed for isolation pure membranes from erythrocytes. With method, it demonstrated that goblin is located in membrane. Goblin not extracted by solutions low or ionic strength but partially nonionic detergents, indicating component spectrin suggesting may an intrinsic protein data are compatible possible role hormonal control ion movements
