摘要: Background: Endothelial dysfunction (ED) is involved in the development of atherosclerosis. Hesperidin, a citrus flavonoid with antioxidant and other biological properties, potentially exerts beneficial effects on endothelial function (EF). Objective: We investigated effect hesperidin 2S supplementation EF overweight individuals. Design: This was randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study which 68 individuals were randomly assigned to receive (450 mg/d) or placebo for 6 wk. At baseline after wk intervention, flow-mediated dilation (FMD), soluble vascular adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1), intracellular (sICAM-1), P-selectin (sP-selectin), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic (DBP) assessed. Acute, reversible ED induced by intake high-fat meal (HFM). A second FMD scan performed 2 h postprandially, molecules assessed 4 postprandially. An additional exploratory analysis subjects >= 3%. Results: No significant change fasting postprandial observed compared intake. However, there trend reduction sVCAM-1, sICAM-1, sP-selectin, SBP, DBP treatment. In 3% group, protected from (P = 0.050) significantly downregulated sVCAM-1 sICAM-1 (all P <= 0.030). The results reported current article not adjusted multiplicity. Conclusions: Six weeks consumption did improve basal our total population. There tendency toward decrease SBP DBP. Further analyses revealed that, 3%, improved an HFM reduced molecules. These indicate cardiovascular health benefits obese relatively healthy endothelium. trial registered at clinicaltrials.gov as NCT02228291.
