This study aimed to evaluate effects of oral administration for 28 days at 0, 40, 75, 140 mg/kg bw day during the juvenile period Sprague-Dawley rats. Histopatological examinations of: epiphyseal cartilage - potential target lathyrogen action testes, ovary, uterus, thyroid, thymus, spleen, adrenals, representative main developing organs relevant toxicity, neurobehavioural tests males, were performed. Mortality high mid dose levels significantly decreased body weight gain observed males even lowest dose. Lack mineralization all was present. Marked alterations spontaneous motor exploratory behaviours evident 40 mg/kg. Histological tissues; thyroid ovary also The indicate that NOAEL rats lower than administration. exerted pleiotropic further studies suggested elucidate mechanisms.
