摘要: The aim of the present study is to provide a review cytochemical, clinical and experimental data indicating disruption perinatal carotid body maturation as one possible mechanisms underlying SIDS pathogenesis. victims have been reported show alterations in respiratory regulation which may partly be ascribed peripheral arterial chemoreceptors. Carotid findings victims, although not entirely confirmed by other authors, included reductions glomic tissue volume cytoplamic granules type I cells, changes cytological composition (higher percentages progenitor II cells) increases dopamine noradrenaline contents. Prematurity environmental factors, such exposure tobacco smoke, substances abuse, hyperoxia continuous or intermittent hypoxia, increase risk are known affect functional structural adversely, supporting role for chemoreceptors SIDS.
