摘要: Objective: The present study was envisaged to evaluate the protective effect of polyherbal formulation, DRDC/AY/8060, developed by Dabur India Ltd., against paracetamol and D-galactosamine induced hepatic toxicities in Wistar rats. Materials Methods: carried out two different experiments 10 14 days D-galactosamine, respectively. Animals were divided into treatment groups ( n = 6). control group received normal saline, a toxicant 750 mg/kg p.o. every 72 h for 400 i.p. single dose. test formulation used at dose levels 120 240 mg/kg/day. Treatment treated with formulations also administered as given group. At end dosing schedule, blood withdrawn from retrobulbar plexus animals serum estimation glutamate oxaloacetate transferase (SGOT), pyruvate trasnferase (SGPT), albumin, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Following withdrawal sacrificed, liver tissue excised thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (lipid peroxidation, malondialdehyde), glutathione (GSH) histopathological studies. Results: It evident biochemical that both galactosamine caused hepatotoxicity groups. However, DRDC/AY/8060 significantly P Conclusion: On basis these studies comparative evaluation it can be concluded showed hepatoprotective activity mg/kg.
