摘要: Untreated (controls) and phenol–formaldehyde (PF)-modified beech wood (10 25 % solid content) were glued with phenol resorcinol formaldehyde (PRF) polyvinyl acetate (PVAc). Shear strength of PRF-bonded specimens was higher than that PVAc-bonded ones under dry wet conditions irrespective the pre-treatment. Under conditions, only exhibited reduction in shear due to PF-modification PF concentration as compared controls. treated provided inferior bonding exception PRF adhesive. Modification resulted a decrease adhesive penetration into porous network interconnected cells, especially at concentration.
