摘要: Abstract Objective We examined data from a prospective study of risk factors that increase vulnerability or resilience, exacerbate distress, foster recovery to determine whether accurately predict which individuals will later have high posttraumatic (PT) symptom levels and brief measures also elevations. Method Using 129 adults exposed traumatic injury self loved one, we conducted receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analyses 14 assessed by full-length measures, determined optimal cutoff scores, calculated predictive performance for the nine were most predictive. For five factors, identified sets items accounted 90% variance in total scores measures. Results A set full 89% those who had elevated PT symptoms (sensitivity) 78% did not (specificity). four factor soon after 86% 72% not. Conclusions Use shows promise accurate prediction psychological disorder probable PTSD depression. Replication accuracy is needed new larger sample.
