摘要: In this study, the trend of potentially Harmful Algal (HA) taxa (genera and species), was analysed along a coastal area NW Adriatic Sea on monthly scale. The study included use phytoplankton net for sample collection. investigation carried out in four sampling stations characterised by different ecological features. composition HA their succession were related to environmental factors. group abundance accounted 8% all considered. Multivariate analyses factors suggested that are sensitive phosphate content: potential DSP-YTX (Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning-Yessotoxin) producers positively correlated with P content (p = 0.023), while ASP (Amnesic Poisoning) negatively 0.006). Phosphorus could be considered limiting factor density Sea. There highly positive correlation between occurrences low values salinity 0.001 ASP, p 0.029 producers). counting dinoflagellates samples represented more accurate estimation abundances water column making it possible concentrate greater number dinoflagellate cells entire rather than only at surface as routine monitoring procedures.
