Spectrophotometric determination of bromide in water using the multisyringe flow injection analysis technique coupled to a gas-diffusion unit

摘要: A novel spectrophotometric method for the determination of bromide has been developed using Multisyringe Flow Injection Analysis technique (MSFIA). This is based on decolorization methylene blue by bromine released from oxidation bromate under acidic conditions. By incorporating a gas-diffusion unit into MSFIA system transferred reacts with in acceptor stream. The decrease absorbance monitored at 745 nm. conditions are not strong enough to oxidize chloride chlorine, which major component both natural and seawater. proposed provides linearity over range 1 × 10−5 mol L−1 6 5 10−2 chloride, correlation coefficient (r2) 0.9939, precision 3.1% (%RSD 3 Br− Cl−, n = 10). limit detection (3σ) 0.5 L−1. applied water samples, obtaining recoveries analysis spiked tap, natural, seawater samples 90–106%.
