摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter reviews the development of intercellular junctions in insect tissues. Studies that have been made on developing show pleated septate, smooth septate and tight junctions, being linear structures, tend to differentiate a stepwise assembly process, while gap macular, form by “streaming” particles towards focal point. Intercellular junctional development, as seen thin-sections, tends be concurrent with ordered intramembranous particle appearance freeze-cleaved replicas so it seems likely both opposing cell membranes, associated forming develop simultaneously. There can no doubt all complexes an effect upon structural integrity system adjacent cells, some membranous modification, remain contact each other long association persists. The question is whether there are functions performed any given junction addition holding cells together. Other functional roles appear perform tissues communication, enhancement flow, restriction movements sealing cleft. insects display striking differences their compared groups these highlighted when intensively studied group, vertebrates.
