摘要: Cell to cell communication facilitates tissue development and physiology. Under pathological conditions, brain tumors disrupt glia-neuron signals in which consequence, promotes tumor expansion at expenses of healthy tissue. The glioblastoma is the most aggressive frequent tumor. This type glioma expands infiltrates brain, causing neuronal degeneration neurological decay, among other symptoms. Here we describe how produce ImpL2, an antagonist insulin pathway, regulated by microRNA miR-8. ImpL2 targets neighboring neurons causes mitochondrial disruption as well synapse loss, early symptom neurodegeneration. Furthermore, progression requires pathway attenuation neurons. Restoration activity sufficient rescue this loss delay premature death caused glioma. Therefore, from GB neuron emerge a potential field study prevent neurodegeneration anti-tumoral strategies.
