Technology options for reducing CO2 in China's electricity sector in 2010–2030: From the perspective of internal and social costs

摘要: : This paper creates a technology roadmap for China's electricity sector on CO2 mitigation based cost-effective analysis (CEA) and cost-benefit (CBA). We use targets 2020 2030 to determine the required implementation degrees of 13 selected power-generating technologies. According initial investment, operational costs, external costs major pollutants, we assigned priority rank each technology, which is derived basis internal social costs. A comparison present value generating technologies shows that hydroelectricity bears highest total cost, while cogeneration heat power lowest cost. The with benefit also hydroelectricity, carbon capture sequestration (CCS) yields benefit.
