摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to enhance the use instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) for long-term monitoring air pollution and identify critical sources pollution. For collection total suspended particulate matter (TSP), a filter unit low volume sampler (LVS) employed. One hundred seventeen samples were collected during 2010, 2011, 2012, both on weekdays weekends at station located in Draria city, suburban site near Algiers, Algeria. concentrations 25 trace elements (As, Br, Ca, Cd, Ce, Cl, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Gd, Hf, K, La, Mn, Mo, Na, Sb, Sc, Se, Sm, Sr, V, Zn) determined by INAA using short long irradiation technique. Generally lower concentration values observed compared almost all elements. mean TSP (34.8 μg/m3) showed seasonal pattern with higher levels summer. weekday/weekend ratio 1.3 summer than winter. Cd are found be highly enriched atmospheric matter. According their high enrichment factors (EFs), it possible establish that these anthropogenic origin coming from automobile exhausts which is main source emission area. typical background element literature data other regions around world, those reported an urban Algiers previous study. Significant correlations between (Pearson's coefficients > 0.5) suggesting contaminant may discharged same sources.
