摘要: Response inhibition is a main function of cognitive control and its neural substrates have been studied extensively. However, it still question whether previous brain imaging investigations were successful in isolating specific response activation. In the current study we attempted to pinpoint using Go/No-go task fMRI, by contrasting rare-No-go trials with prevalent-No-go trials. Although required all No-go trials, variants cases (25%) create prepotent which elicits strong demand for inhibition, while (75%) require very little effort. Since activation this design extracted solely from differing only extent inhibitory demand, analysis avoids contamination data motor effects or visual factors. Using experimental highlight contribution parietal cortex (bilaterally) processes, casting doubts about specificity frontal such processes. Future studies are verify that bilateral intraparietal sulcus left temporo-parietal junction activations could be markers control.
