摘要: Abstract A mining boom starting in the mid 2000s has transformed economic and social structure of many Western Australia’s remote resource-dependant towns. To date, research on these changes have tended to either involve broad cross-sectional analyses across multiple localities, or involved narrow single town case studies focused quite specific issues, such as housing, service provision employment. Yet local experiences perceptions rapid resource-led development are likely be diverse multifaceted. This study uses Q-methodology explore residents change two resource-dependent towns Pilbara region. It identifies distinctive sets both within between each community. The findings suggest that implications resource highly nuanced, dependent not only individual experiences, but also histories, cultures values.
