摘要: This study aimed to examine thermoregulatory responses in birds facing two commonly experienced stressors, cold and fasting. Logging devices allowing long-term precise access internal body temperature were placed within the gizzards of ducklings acclimated (CA) (5°C) or thermoneutrality (TN) (25°C). The animals then examined under three equal 4-day periods: ad libitum feeding, fasting re-feeding. Through analysis daily as well short-term, ultradian, variations temperature, we showed that while at TN show only a modest decline parameters when fasted, they exhibit reduced surface temperatures from key sites vascular heat exchange during CA birds, on other hand, significantly their short-term increasing variability phenomenon would allow reduce energetic cost maintenance By analysing ultradian regulation describe means by which an endotherm appears lower costs response combined stressors
