摘要: Summary A 0.01% solution of methylhydrazine was administered daily in the drinking water 6-week-old randomly bred Syrian golden hamsters for remainder their lifetime. The treatment gave rise to malignant histiocytomas liver and tumors cecum. Thirty-two % females 54% males developed whereas among controls no such lesions were seen. incidence cecum 18% 14% males, compared 1% controls. Macroscopic, light electron microscopic, histochemical investigations showed characteristic appearance histiocytomas. histological involvement tissues by is presented. fine structure histiocytoma, nuclei, cytoplasms with organelles tumor cells are described illustrated detail. Methylhydrazine a rocket fuel component, some its derivatives have been proposed use treating certain human cancers. Because it has shown produce mice now hamsters, precautions should be taken concerning use.
